The ISPR says terrorists fired on a military convoy in the general area of Hassan Khel
RAWALPINDI: Two security forces soldiers were martyred while seven terrorists were killed in two separate incidents in Hassan Khel and Tank areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
The ISPR said that the terrorists fired on a military convoy in the general area of Hassan Khel, prompting a quick response by troops who effectively engaged and killed three involved terrorists in activities terrorist against the security forces. The soldiers also recovered weapons and ammunition from them.
During the intense firefight, Lance Naik Muhammad Pannah of Pak Army, 30, a resident of Jaffarabad District, and Sepoy Shamas Ullah of Border Police, 36, a resident of South Waziristan District, fought bravely and accepted martyrdom.
Disinfection of the area is underway to eliminate any additional terrorists found in the area. Meanwhile, security forces observed the movement of terrorists in the general area of Tank, engaged them and killed four terrorists in an intense gunfight, recovering arms and ammunition from them. Terrorists have been involved in killings, kidnappings and extortion in this area.
