Maryam Nawaz off to London, likely to return with father Nawaz Sharif

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz left for London after surrendering her passport two days ago on the orders of the Lahore High Court.

His passport was submitted for bail in the Chaudhari Sugar Factory case.

Sources within the family say that he is likely to return to Pakistan with his father, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Maryam is going to stay in London for a month.

Shortly before taking off from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore to London, Maryam said that she could not wait to meet her father Nawaz Sharif.

Sources say he will undergo a medical in London.

PML-N leaders approached the LHC challenging the National Accountability Board (NAB), saying he was unable to exercise his constitutional rights for about four years, despite no indictment against him or the court.

He pleaded that he had to go abroad to take care of his ailing father and requested the court that the Deputy Registrar (Judiciary) restore his passport for justice.
